FetchrLy Review
First Impressions
When you look at FetchrLy the main goal is clear. It helps you stop throwing your resume into a black hole. Most job websites are just giant message boards or basic spell checkers. FetchrLy is different because it acts like a personal assistant that directly messages the person hiring for the job.
The site itself is super clean and easy to read. It keeps things simple and straightforward. It does not bombard you with confusing tech words or annoying popups. It just clearly explains how it helps you find recruiters and send them good emails.
Taking it for a Spin
To test it I uploaded a regular PDF resume. A lot of AI tools completely mess up the look and spacing of your resume when they try to edit it. FetchrLy promised not to do that so I was curious. I picked a tough Software Engineer job posting and let the tool do its thing. It actually managed to add the right keywords into my resume without ruining the way the document looked.
Next I tried their Chrome internet browser tool on LinkedIn. I highlighted a job posting and clicked the little FetchrLy button. It found the email address of the hiring manager for that company and wrote an email for me. The email actually talked about my real past experience and matched it up perfectly with what the job was asking for. It sounded like a real person wrote it rather than a robot.
UX and Features
A standout feature is that everything happens in one place. It lives inside your Chrome browser so you do not have to juggle different tabs for LinkedIn and email finder sites and AI writers.
You can connect your own Gmail account. This means when you click send it actually comes straight from you. That helps keep your emails out of the spam folder. I also really liked that it double checks if the recruiter email address is real before you send anything. This stops you from getting annoying message failed replies. It even tells you if the recruiter opened your email which is really nice for peace of mind.
What Could Be Better
While the browser tool is awesome it really only works on a desktop computer using Google Chrome. If you like applying to jobs on your phone or if you use Safari you miss out on the best parts.
Also the AI is smart but the emails it writes can sometimes sound a little too stiff or formal. It is a good idea to spend a few seconds reading the email and making it sound more like your normal voice before you send it. Lastly it would be helpful if the screen made it a bit clearer how many credits or uses you have left.
The Verdict
Overall if you are tired of filling out long application forms and never hearing back FetchrLy is super handy. It takes the most annoying parts of job hunting and turns them into a quick process that takes less than a minute.
It does not replace the need for a good resume and you should still double check the messages it writes. But if you want to reach out and email hiring managers directly this tool saves you hours of boring work.
